Are the parties every month on a full moon?

The Full moon parties in Thailand take place every month, following the moon calendar.

However, some event dates may get shifted a day or two.

This may happen when the full moon date collides with a national holiday, and it is being announced by the Full Moon Party committee in advance. This happened for several dates (usually twice per year) for example on the August 12/13 2022 party.

When is the best time to go to the next Full Moon Party in 2026?

If you want to experience a mega-party you should definitely come during the high season, between late December and April. Another peak on the Full Moon Party Schedule is during the summer holidays in July and August. October until November are the quietest months on Koh Phangan.

What do you need for the Full Moon Party?

The only things you really need are sandals or closed shoes.

While it's really tempting to go with flip-flops or even barefoot, this should be avoided if possible.

There can be some trash on the beach, and you do not want to accidentally step on something sharp.
